I did not have power for 13 days, and despite the best efforts of my neighbor and I, I lost most of my 13 year old reef tank. Surprisingly, some mushroom, zoas, kenya tree coral, and various shrimps, snails and crabs made it. I did not have heat or circulation for 3 of the 13 days, and the temperature in the tank dipped to 51 degrees. This says a lot regarding how some corrals can take a lot. Most sad of all, I lost a 13 year old clown fish, copperband and 13 year old yellow tang that was as big as and thick as a porgy. I think having a big tank helped dissipates some of these issues, which prevented every living to die.
