My tank has so much algae my snails cannot keep up ....what else can I get that eats algae???

Are you using tap water?

First thing you need to do, is find out WHY you are getting so much algae?

What kind of lights?
What is your photo period?
What are your levels (don't say they are fine, need numbers)
What is your phosphate level at?
Are you running reactor?
How much do you feed?
What kind of water? Conditioned tap or RO/DI

There are so many things that have to do with Algae growth. But you need to give much more information..

Do you have a refugium ? Is tank near window to much sunlight. Over feeding, water quality.

Yes I am using tap water as my ro/di has not arrived as yet.I try not to over feed and my readings are ammonia 0,nitrite 0, nitrate 15, ph 8.2

I just bought a nitrate absorbing pad and a phosphate absorbingad from petland and I am running an old filter with them....let's see what happens.by the way I have 150 watt m.h and 2-39w t5 actinic.the mh are on for 5 hrs and the t5 is on for 8 hrs
...is that too much,I have mushroom corals and zoos and xenias in the tank so I need try to give then enough light.
