So I think this is a dendro. Sorry if saying it wrong. But at the store the tentacles of the other frags were out. But this one was not. The day before yesterday some if the tentacles came out in my tank but today they have not again.

My question is is the placement right. I have it lower in the tank and a little shade not direct light. That is what I read.

These are non photosynthetic and need to be fed. Placement looks fine. Mine like medium-low flow and they don't really care about light, although I wouldn't blast them.

you can train them to open when fed. i trained mine in a plastic dixie-sized cup with eggcrate cover. the food stayed in the cup & the heads "smelled" the chum instead of getting blown all over the tank or fish stealing. when the heads open get a skewer & lightly swirl the water & the tentacles will catch the food. keep on a schedule & you can train them to open when you want. good luck!
