Toadstool question

I just moved my VERY large toadstool, and when doing so a 3" ling and 1" wide sliver pulled off his stalk. Needless to say he is not the least bit happy.
This should be a fairly quick recovery, no?

it'll probably just close for a few days and open back up....or even open back up tomorrow.

Agreed with the other guys. Not only will it heal just fine, but you're going to have an entire new toadstool start growing from the sliver left behind.
