Ok so ur suggesting leave the sock on ( i only have 1 drain so 1 sock will be used. Now the word "clogged" worries me. I do bi-weekly changes... If i were to use the sock then i would be cleaning it every time, good thing or bad thing to do? I just heard there a head ache like bio balls

from what ive read socks should be changed out daily to prevent themselves from causing high nitrates although you might be fine with every 2-3 days if you have a light load and feed lightly

I just recieved the skimmer HOLY COW ITS A MONSTER!! Dam lol

I measured it out and i think it should be ok in the sump but in still waiting for the sump

Im trying to find out how high is the first chambers water depth because the skimmer works best in 9" of water but i only have 4" of clearance in my stand ... (stand is 28" and skimmer is 24")
