Leak Test Question

Finally glued my plumbing for 125 gallon yesterday so I'm going to let it sit for a few days and then run some fresh water through the system. My question is, should I fill the display tank up with water or Just put some water in the sump? If in the sump(sump holds approx 50 gallons), how much water should I add?

If you have over flow boxes, just remove the return upright pvc, in the over flow box.
fill the sump and test. you dont have to fill the whole tank.

I have two over flow boxes with durso stand pipes, so you're saying remove them?

Fill up the entire sump?

anytime, no dont remove the durso, the return pipes have to be removed. you want the over flow boxes to fill up.
this way you can turn your pump on, and only the water will circulate in the over flow box.

ohhhhhhh! Sorry, just sitting down with my first cup of coffee. Thought I read drain pipe for some reason.

OK, so am I filling all 50 gallons of the sump?

If using pvc glue u should be fine after an hour at max
