Protein skimmer weak foam

Hey guys,

So I recently realized that my protein skimmer isn't really working as it should (strangely though the water parameters are on spot and all fish and corals and inverts are doing great). I see the foam, but it doesn't climb up the neck very far. I just spent about an hour moving the neck up and down, changing the air flow, moving the over flow box amd not much of a change. this is a 1year old tank i bought used (skimmer was newer) and have had for about 5 weeks now.

Can anyone help? If you are on UES I am willing to trade a helping hand for pizza and beer!

You should list the skimmer model.

Looks like a skimmer from a Red Sea Max tank or possibly a Prism skimmer?

Put a picture up so we can see what the options might be.

Have you checked the water level that is recommended for that particular skimmer? That may be the issue.

If its the stock rsm skimmer its a pain to adjust cause its junk, i have mine shut off

I didn't have much luck producing skimmate with the stock RSM skimmer. I modded my hood and added a aquamaxx hob-1 skimmer. Night and day difference, I have to dump and clean out my cup every 2 days now.

Yep Red Sea max skimmer. Just trash it
