Lyretail anthia bullied?

I picked up a male lyretail anthia last sunday, but it has been receiving a ton of aggression from my flame angel. It's fins aren't damaged at all, and the angel isn't actually biting it, but it won't let the anthia leave the cave in the tank. Does anyone know how long until they settle down or is it possible this isn't meant to be? The anthia is nearly twice the size of the angel.

My male anthias hid in a cave for 3-4 days before it came out I don't have any angels but my yellow tang made sure he knew who the boss of the tank was. Now he doesn't run from anyone including the yellow.

yep, male anthias can be mean, mine challenges the biggest fish in the tank which is almost twice it's size, and he beat the crap out of the big fish when the other is not backing down. Do you have a female in there with the male, if you do, he might be more confident to come out of the cave.

The male lyretail I had went into an RBTA after a clown. I was surprised it didn't get caught.

Thanks, I have hope since he isn't actually hurting it, just confronting him. I think I'll try to move the rocks around and maybe catch the angel and put him in a bucket for a little while when I do it.
