An interesting thought but you'd likely be served better by a filter sock..and won't have to pay for the electricity to run it :)

You mean a sediment filter like we use in our rodi's?

Try it and see if it grabs any gunk...pressure might not be right to force the water through it ..

Hi, I run socks but there still particles floating about.
I have it running off my manifold so it is not drawing any
additional power. Just figured I would give it a try. I dropped
in a 10x2.5 last night and it seems to being pulling some gunk
so I am going to order the larger filter to see if it fits right.
In the long run it might not be worth it because if it does catch
the sediment and not changed on a regular basis it might do more
harm then good. Will repost in a week or so when the new filter comes in
to let you knoa how it goes.
