Acan Lighting

I just purchased a Acan lighting system (800-36b) in my new tank. I will be starting a tank thread soon! As of now I have LPS/ softies. Im not quite sure what percentages and how long to keep the led's running during the day. Can someone help me out and tell me what's a good percentage to keep the lights on and how to program the lights. Thanks :thrash:

Really it depends on what lights you were running.. I would start low around 20-30% slowly ramp it up 5-10% each week... It is very easy to bleach and kill corals with LEDs and by the time you notice it's too late..

so put both my blue lights and white lights on low percentage?

should the setting be on "auto" or "hand" ??

In order to get anything but 100% white, or blue or both you must program it in auto mode. Ther are 5 time settings for ramp up and ramp down.
I woul go. 10%,15%30%,blue only, moonlight. To start and then as stated increas 5% a week.
Be careful with acan fixtures. They spot heavily and bleach corals easily.
I kept mine 14 inces above tank and still had bleaching issues at 70%.

I have an acan and only keep the whites on 50%

Depends on the size of your tank as well for instance my whites should only max go to if I remember correctly 50 or 75 percent
