fuge light cheato ?

My cheato dosent really grow that much.I have good flow through the fuge have a pice of rock and that clamp on light jbj macro grow on 24hrs most of the time mabe everyother day I shut it for a few hrs because I have a clown fish in there. I know its not because I have no phos I usually get .05-.02 on the hanna and have some algae here and there.IM just wondering because I hear people trimming it down a lot.Could it be the light is not strong enough?

Absolutely. I changed my fuge light from a coralife fuge light to a led fuge light. What a difference in growth. Went from a baseball size piece to a approx watermelon size loaded with pods in a matter of a few months

I agree, I switched mine also to a PAR 38 daylight LED bulb and it worked out great. Hope this helps.

I also heard that the fuge light should be in the 5000-6500K spectrum, not sure how true that is.

Thanks I think I am gonna look into a led light ,it feels like my fuge is just there to house the clown,since its there I would it to work to its fullest.

I have a CFL 5000k light. My Cheato grows and grows and grows. Only thing is the light bleed is kinda annoying. I would like to find a mini 5000k hood.

I have been using a cree daylight bulb from Home Depot for the past couple of weeks. My cheato has doubled since.

I am having the same problem. I am using a 5K Plant Growth T8. Is this not enough? Should I go with the Plant LEDs?

Cree is a brand of led diode. They just started making screw in light bulbs.

I used to have the basic home depot light that had a rating of 6500 and I trimmed my charro like every 2 weeks!
