Is something wrong with my cycle?

I'm on day 15 of cycle.

For the past week+ (about 9 days or so), my Ammonia levels have been constant.

they are at .50 - 1 ppm

my Nitrite levels have not spiked and are still at 0 - 0.25 ppm


on day 1 of cycle everything was at 0. but no significant change for the last week+.

I also think I have diatoms on my sandbed.

I also found these very small microscopic life forms on my Display Tanks glass.. they are constantly moving. it's not too many of them, but enough for me to see stuck to my glass.

Is eveyrthing going as they should be? should i be worried?

Also,

I did not test constantly in the first week of cycle (maybe twice)

is there a chance i missed my cycle?

Sounds like its going well- diatoms are part of cycle

Youll be seeing diff things all the time
My cycle started well no issues but i am battling algae now a few months after cycle I need more flow. Just let tank do its thing. Your off to a good start

You'll start to see the brownish diatoms go away after a while.

my ammonia finally started to rise this morning.

it's solid 1ppm (first time it gets there)

I am trying to find an LFS that sells test kit other than API so that I can confirm todays test

based on the diatom bloom, rising ammonia, and the research ive done.. i am very well on my way
