Reeflo Blowhole Help

I just got a Reeflo Blowhole 1450 and I'm a little confused about the installation sheet that was included. It says to seal the inlet and discharge fittings with sealant not teflon tap. What are they talking about? What type of sealant?

Also, how do you prime this thing? It will be set up below my sumps water line.

maybe their talking about liquid teflon? that is what i use, it seals better than tape.

use tape or it will leak and use alot of tape

PTFE paste. The blowhole fittings can crack easily if you tighten them too much so go with the paste over the tape.
