Gsp fraging question

I have some gsp it was on a plug now its spreading on the rock.Can I peel some of the purple part at the base of the polyps and gel glue to the overflow box? I need the space on the rock if the gsp will grow on the overflow i can remove the rest from the rock.

yea i did the same thing, now my whole over flow is covered.
you have to trim the top often, as it will block the flow.

That's how I did it and my overflow is green now and sways bak and forth
