Please see the attached pics of a crab I caught of my sps can you please ID him.

Bad crab - that is the actual science name baddus crabious

at my house they get fed to the mantis

I figured he's a bad crab but I didn't want to kill him I put him in the sump

YOU should DIP your CORALS !!! LFS just put corals right from the box into there display tanks , SO BE CAREFUL AND DIP ALL CORALS accordingly to the species ..

When you say dip what does that mean, what do I have to dip it in to

Coral rx is what I use. I use a cap full in a 1 gallon tank with a power head for 15 mins. I then rinse with fresh saltwater . Add to qt tank for a week if no qt tank add to display . At least you took some prevention. Also inspection and scrubbing might be needed . If I see alage growth I toothbrush it off . Dip and rinse ..

Btw if you happen to see a good crab , inspection , remove the good crab then dip , when your ready to add your coral to your display add the crab to your coral.
