I guess the question is why is the tank cloudy in the first place. Did you just set it up? Do you have sand, which hasn't completely settled down, which is making the tank look cloudy. Do you have good water movement and a filter or overflow to siphon the top of the water off? Do you have Live Rock in the tank, which maybe causing an algae bloom? These things will cause the tank to look Cloudy.

Generally if you have good water movement and filtration the tank shouldn't be cloudy.

I have NOTHING in the tank. Two power heads moving the water. I have yet to set up the sump. The reason for that is that I read enough to change my mind, and will drill th tank to create and over flow

When you set up the tank did you and sand after you added your water? If you did do that then that's the reason why your tank looks cloudy. Trust me it happened to me before I waited at least one week for it to fully clear up.

He has said he has not added anything but salt. Still waiting for brand and how long you added it...

I would suggest scrapping it all. Drill your tank get that done and then go invest in a RO/DI setup and setup some brutes or buckets where you can mix salt properly.

So many things wrong so far
A- You added tap water big mistake when setting a new tank up
B- You want to drill the tank with water in it. So many things can go wrong. Empty the tank then have it drilled the right way and easier way
C- You mixed salt in cold water

Anyone know what this would be???
?

You need to toss the water that is in the tank now as it wasn't mixed properly, won't clear even if you warm it, and sincerely should not use tap water in a SW tank.
You might try running a Want To Buy thread for a RO/DI unit in our Marketplace.
