As I am building my tank, I've had plenty of people buying me "joke" gift like a finding nemo fish or Sponge bob stuff.

Does anyone know how these things will react in the salt water??? They seem to be made out of some sort of plastic

Dont take a chance IMO. Who knows down the road if it wontvrelease some toxic crap from plastics.

+1 and if there is any metal in the toys it will corrode and pollute the water.

My friend had wrestling action figures and a wrestling ring in his tank for more then 5 years. His fish were fine. All toys are diffrent and just because it worked for him doesn't mean it will work for you.

I know that Legos are aquarium safe, someone contacted them and they said there shouldn't be an issue. The only thing is that they have to be assembled underwater so air won't get trapped and they won't float.

Lol yea man go for it. Legos are non toxic, kids chew them all the time.

I think Penn Plax had that idea over 30 yrs ago... With plastic snap together aquarium decor rocks!
