Rock problems??

My live/dead rocks have gone from white to this any reason (all redish)

It's hard to tell from the pic but it appears to be a diatom bloom. Are you able to brush it off easily or is it tight to the rock?

How long has the tank been cycled for?

bluer lighting may help, as would time.

so would nitrates at zero =D

if u having rock problem i feel sorry for u son. i got 99 problems but the rock aint 1.


haha, just got to do it. but it does look like diatom. new tank? if it is add some clean up crew and mother nature will take care of it for u.
