Question about faucet adapter?

So I plan to get this faucet adapter tomorrow to attach to my faucet and my garden hose nozzle part of my RO/DI unit.

With that said, I don't think the faucet I have has a fancy head,

yet I'm wondering if I can get just any faucet adapter or I need a specific one to attach to the garden hose adapter connected to my RO/DI unit?

you need to remove the aerator and they sell an adaptor that screws into or over the aerator threads and converts to hose bib. i got one a while ago from drs foster and smith, don't know if you'll find it locally.

I got mine from Home Depot. I brought the aerator with me so I could check to make sure the adapter would screw in, and that saved me a lot of pain.
In the end, I only had one fixture that would take a faucet adapter, but it works perfectly.

I need to remove the aerator? What is this? They allowed you to try out the adapter on your aerator?

Man I wish I just knew someone who did this before so they could physically show me, come with me to home depot, help me pick out the right item and come help me set it up.

This shows the adapter attached to my sink.
The aerator part of your faucet usually screws off so that you can replace the screen if necessary. You need to take this part off so that the adapter can screw in to your faucet in it's place.
There are lots of different kinds of faucets, so I found it easier to take the part in my hand with me to the store to make sure that the adapter was the right size for my sink.

Finding the right piece was a little annoying - mostly because Home Depot in Manhattan is annoying, but other than that - it takes 30 seconds to install and use.

Return it and buy some RO water. I'll even just give you some when you need it. You are over complicating your start.

Brs sells an Ro hose adapter that goes under the sink. You unscrew the Coldwater line, put in the adapter and then but the Coldwater line back in. The adapter has a valve. It's 10 bucks and it is easily the cheapest thing I've bought that really simplifies water changes.
