HOB filter or protein skimmer need advice

Hello everyone I currently have a 12 gallon nano tank and run a HOB filter but thinking of ditching it for a nano skimmer any advice I run chemipure and chaeto in my filter so should I switch it to a skimmer?

The hob with chemjpure and cheato is good. No need for skimmer

Thanks I have a mixed reef but wanted to keep an anemone eventually when the tank hit a year so I was wondering would I benefit from a skimmer

I run an Aquaclear 110 on my 5.5 with cheato, sponge and chemipure. Works perfect! I did switch the impellar to decrease the flow, but it gets the job done. No skimmer.

A skimmer is always beneficial to a tank. Helps waste removal and oxigenation. Which 12g nano you have? Im guessing aquapod? Finding a skimmer to fit and work well for a small nano is the biggest challenge. More info on your setup would help

Thanks for all the replays I actually have a fluval edge 12 I was going to sell it because I bought a new tank but I'll keep both lol

If your doing weekly water changes (which should be done on a small tank)it's kind of a waste to use a skimmer..
