get the rock out of the tank and into a bin for curing.

do a large water change in your main tank and run lots of carbon.

best not to take any shortcuts. let the rock cure for a few weeks and slowly introduce it into your tank.

the instructions are pretty good.

just toss the rocks into a bin with salt water, toss a powerhead and heater in. change the water weekly. test the water periodically to monitor the cycle.

you may find it easier to house the fish somewhere else for the next few weeks rather than the rock. Keeping the LR in the tank would be beneficial as it will colonize with bacteria that will bring your nitrite levels back in check. The rock can cure in your display tank without issue but it will be a toxic environment until then.

WELCOME TO MR! (by the way)

As per your -Tank Thread-, adding "un-cured" live rock is definitely your problem.
Great advice was given. Follow them.
Avoid using chemicals to correct the problem.
Cure the rock either in your tank or bin as recommended....but first & foremost, get the Live-stock to a healthier environment.

You're going to kill off a large amount of life no matter what you do, it's ok. The question now is how much are you going to kill? Don't worry about life on the Live Rock, you can kill off 90% of it and it will regrow just fine. I'd worry about the fish if I were you as they won't grow back. The yellow tang complicates matters but if you can get a tub of some sort to keep them in for the next 2-3 weeks with a power head and heater you should be all good. Watch the levels in their bin because their waste will pollute the water quickly. A sponge filter may help but you will experience a "cycle" where ever you put them (or keep them.)

The Live Rock can stay put without water changes and be fine. Keep testing your water every few days and once the Amonia, and NO2 are at zero AND you see your NO3 off shoot up, THEN do a water change. If you do water changes every single time you see NO2 in your water then you aren't cycling your tank to be able to handle very much of a bioload. Being that you have a bunch of fish you need your tank to be able to handle NO2 of 1.0 so leave it be. Let your Live Rock colonize and let the bacteria eat that No2 and convert it to no3. Once your No3 goes really high then do water changes to get it back into normal levels and add your fish back in.

ΟΗΗ Yeaa babe SMELLS BADD.....

Actions that i made last night and today morning…

1. Tests ΝΗ3/4 0.5 , ΝΟ2 0.5 (Dropt from 1.0) 18:00

2. ι Pull out the two new Live rocks and with the sense of smell I found that only one of the rocks had bad smell – dead organisms … the other one the 80% of it smell like sea

3. 40% water change very carefully.

4. ι Put the “BAD” live rock inside a bucket and removed the dead organism and white films, with a small knife.. then a made a 100% water change in the bucket.. with a circulator and a heater…

5. last night made a test NO2 to main tank and it was 0

6. Early this morning while testing the main tank found NH3/4 0 and No2 0,5!!! Maybe the other rock need some cure too but.. I will give it a try first now it’s 0.5 I want to believe that live stock get throu to it

7. The bucket that contain the BAD rock from the moment I made the first water change … exactly after 30 minutes the NO2 = 1,0 and the NH3/4 =0,5 !!!! I will let it reject dead organisms and make very large water changes 3 times the week….

I don’t have the luxury of a second Tank, to put the live stock in … so I will make my efforts to cure the rock inside the bucket….
