Introducing Copepods?

Whats the best way to introduce copepods? I dont have a refugium. I read that it's better when the lights go out but do i just pour them into the tank or better to do it as close to live rock or substrate as possible? Marine Depot had a video of them "pouring in" the copepods into the substrate but I figured I would ask others.

maybe turnoff your powerheads and skimmer for 15 minutes to give them time to settle. That is what I do on my nano when I introduce pods from my fuge

lights off to prevent fish going after them right away, turn off the skimmer and even better your return pump if running filter socks for 15mins. Doesn?t really matter how far from the bottom you pour the bag.
