I have a new 240 gallon tank.

I need a list of Great Equipment from A to Z.

any recommendations?
Very loaded question. My recomendation is get what you need and dont expect just buying the "best" will make the tank alone. Your regiment and maintenance is as much important. Get good RODI, salt and lights to start. Happy to discuss options and help you save when ready.

a better husbandry will go further then best equiptment, now with that said for protein skimmers i truelly like the skimz brand { ive owned and used almost every brand } lighting will be a loaded question depending on what you are looking to keep in the aquarium { fish only\soft corals\sps } for powerheads personally while i love the ecotech mp40's i think tunze is the longest lasting easiest to maintain, return pumps once again a personaly choice but i think reeflo makes best pumps. for auto top off, alot will say tunze but ive had my fair share of issues with them and pumps will burn out if let run dry. i use a aquatrend ato and love it. it uses a perilistic pump { look up reefoman on here } as for controllers apex makes a awesome set up. but i have stuck with my good ole aqua controller junior for last 15 years, does what i need it to. the best advice i could probably give you in take a week and really think about what you want your tank to look like in a year from now and buy once.

Hey bud, get ready for an enjoyable frustrating adventure. The best advice I could give is hook up with someone who knows what they?re doing NOT A LFS. It?s unfortunate but it?s been my experience that for the most part LFS?s are staffed with salesman who?s job is to sell. Spending in this hobby does not equate to success. It?s kind of like the poppa bull and his son story. Patience+The right information=best chance for success. You might have noticed Dave from Reef Trends posted above. Dave is the man, yes he does run a business but he is a hobbyists first. Knowledgeable and just a nice guy. He?s been my guru from the beginning and as time goes buy....he won?t disappear he will never advise on something he?s not 100% confident about. Here are some older pics of his work. He did everything from the plumbing to aquascape and I continue to be a pain in his ***...he?s always there and never complains
