pistol shrimp without goby

Just when I took down my qt tank, my watchman goby had gotten sucked up in overhead drain and when I tried to catch him he got squashed. Will my pistol shrimp be ok without a mate. I dont want to put up a qt tank just to get one more fish so probably wont unless I lose a couple of other fish or give away my purple tang freeing up some bio load.

Hell be fine, i have a yellow watchman goby and a pistol shrimp, theyre on opposite sides of the tank and act like each other does not exist for more than 6 months. Still waiting for them to pair up

Thanks. That is I guess a possibility. I am glad to know he is fine. I hear him a few times a day so I assume he is fine but it is sort of like the clown fish and anemone, but thought the pairing would be easier. Good luck with them pairing.
