Welcome to MR. I keep a nano as well. I like nano-reef, but almost everyone there is in CA, which makes it hard to post while remembering the time difference .
Read, read, and ask questions. There's lots of experience here. There is also a new book club forum here, and the fist book is Fenner's Contentious Marine Aquarist, which, if you've not had a chance to get, is an excellent book to start, and is appropriate for both large and nano reefs
BTW, the best way to get folks here to go easy on you is to not ask them to go easy on you, it just marks you as a big target for endless sarcasm.
