Is this an RO/DI system?

I've looked at some pictures of the RO/DI units you guys use, and i noticed they look similiar to the unit we have under our kitchen sink. Its where we get our drinking water from, and i was wondering if this is the same as the RO/DI units you guys use.

I'm not sure what filters we are using.. but what filters do you guys use? We've had this thing under our sink for a year now. I know nothing about it since my dad is the one who put it in, and even still, my dad only knows that it filters the water and thats it.

I just did a seazrch on that device and couldn't find the specs. If I were you I would contact the company by phone and ask them if its an RO unit and what filters that model has....

I tried a search too and found this link.
That unit is indeed an RO system; as best as I can tell it is premier Water Systems RO-TFM-5SV.

The Priemier RO water filter is what I brought from Costco a few years ago. It is inexpensive (I love Costco), and works well. It is fine to lay the pressure tank on the side. There is no DI on most drinking water system, and this is no exception.

You sure do have an RO system. From the pictures, I could not see a DI canister, so I have to say no to that part of the system.

There are 2 things, IMHO, may may want to check out: 1. adding a DI cartridge and 2: finding out the specs on the RO cartridge. As for me, I run a 1 micron RO cartridge.

haha know nothing about these filters n such, but it seems that there is an empty space for something at the top front of the unit... could i put the DI filter up there? and which one would be the RO filter? i wonder if they have the clear containers for this model

i'll take a look at the RO filter tomorrow and see if i can figure anything out about it

The "empty space" is for a carbon post filter, typical of regular drinking water filter system. You can put an inline DI filter in the bracket for the post filter, but I personally prefers a regular DI cartidge in a filter housing.

You can get clear canister, but most of the time, it is not worth the money because they are not cheap by itself. It is always cheaper to get the system as a whole instead of buying bits and pieces.
