My 55 gallon tank has been up and running for almost 4 months. I just now put a seaclone hang on skimmer on it. It doesnt foam hardly at all. I adjusted the air the way the book said. Is there something I'm missing? Any insight appreciated. :D

They usually need a few weeks to break in properly. They wont produce skimate right off the bat, something to do with the oils in the PVC they use to build it. Give it some time it will work.

besides, seaclone is not one of the best skimmer out there, and it is not going to foam well even after break-in. Try to do a search on the skimmer in RDO, and you will find other info about this.

It does take time to "break" a skimmer in,
however IMO a Sea Clone is not much of a
skimmer. I won one in a drawing at my LFS
about 3 yrs. ago. It ended up in the garbage!
