:( Wondering if anyone can help me out on this! My PH is high at 8.6, what can I do to lower it? My other water parameters are nitrites/ammonia 0, ALK 8.0, Calcium is 400(is this low?) and salinity is 34. The supplements I use are Kent Marine Pro Buffer as needed, Two little fishies CombiSan , Salifert Coral Calcium and Kent Marine Lugol's Iodine solution. Is there any other supplements I can add to lower PH and raise Ca a bit? Thanks!

I am testing it with Salifert's PH Kit adding 5ML of water and adding 4 drops of the PH soultion. It seems like it is rather blue after testing, instead of green which indicates the reading over 8.4 Maybe the test kit is old, since I got it from previous owner.

Definitely try a new test kit, or try it on freshwater with some vinegar added to ensure that it's not completely bashed. Most important (more so than test results) are your observations.
