I read in a post that someone has an airstone in their RO water they store........ I have about 7 gal of RO water I store,,, do I need to drop an airstone in their or is it fine? Thanks for answering the dumb question...
It depends on how long you plan on storing it, but an air stone isn't a bad idea for extended periods of time. Stagant water is prone to many problems. If it's for a few days, it doesn't really matter. Keep out of direct sunlight and seal completely if you aren't aerating it.
Since 7 gallons takes less then 1/2 a day to make even with the slowest RO unit, I recommend that you not store water for long periods of time, making (or buying) new batches when needed.
