Going to buy my first livestock tommorow... need advice!!

Hey guys, I am going to add a fish or 2 to my tank tommorow and I just wanted to make sure that everything is okay!!

Here are my water params as of 20 minutes ago!!

Are my water params okay to go ahead and add 1 or 2 fish now???

Also I dont have ANY reef custodians in my tank yet, because there is NO algae anywhere and i am scared that if I add them that they will starve... Should I wait untill I add the fish and let there waste / access food create some algae or should i buy my custodians tommorow while I am at the LFS buying the fish??? Thanks for your help guys!!!

Well there is SOME algae, hair mainly but not enough to feed much for very long!!

If I recall, you had the extremely shallow tank, and your rock was live, then, dead, then, rehydrated. So the rock is still mostly dead. (On the other hand, you do run a DSB).

1 or 2 relatively hardy fish will do fine, but test every day, and change your water if you're looking like getting ammonia/nitrites.

I personally run my tank cooler (78F), but that's a matter of taste. 81F is in the "accepted" range.

Snails or hermits won't starve for a few days... Or you could wait until you get a diatom bloom before getting some snails.

So, did you get anything? Your tank conditions look fine, assuming the tank is "post-cycle" and not "pre-cycle" period.

You can start adding a few snails now and add more as the tank starts to grow more algae. Please note there is a chance the algae will grow faster and faster for the first few months, at a higher rate the clean up critters can handle. This is normal for a new tank. Some people are blessed with an absence of algae from start to finish, but most aren't

how long has the tank been set up? if you don't have any algae and never even saw any cyano ... ? wtf ?
