I'm just wondering when I should dose with my b-ionic for maximum growth effect. I recall hearing that in most tanks the ph drops during the night to some degree. I havent measured it myself yet but I'm looking for ways to boost growth even by a few percent. Alot of plants create energy by the sun by day and grow at night. I know they are animals but is the same true of corals?

A PhD thesis in UCLA in early 80's on a acropora species (a. cre. ?) show that during the night time, the coral quickly build scafford, a low density, high volumn skeleton. During the day time, reinforcement around the scafford was made, give the skeleton more density, but relatively little dimensional growth.

You can take the info in whatever way you want, it is not worth while to get that few percent, IMO. There is no way for you to prove that you do get that anyway.
