Iam new to this and I have 100gal reef ready 110LR 1 Yellow tang, Clownfish,Brown Tang and 6trbo snails and 10H crabs. My setup CPR CY194 w/built skimmer Rio 1700and 520w of light CL compact. I have been up running for about 5 months and I can't seem to any good dry foam out of the skimmer . Water test are fine.

What type of skimmer do you have? CY194?

Do you get greenish/brownish water in the collection cup, or it is absolutely nothing at all?

What skimmer do you have again?

Some skimmers need to be "tinkered" with to get them to operate at peak performance.

Dry foam isn't necesarrily what you want anyways. I prefer to run my skimmer "wet". Also if you are doing regular water changes maybe your bioload isnt big enough to pull out nasty gunk just yet.

What color is your skimate? Is it wet or dry?...

I do a 10gal water change every week i had problems with some kind of green water so i change my water every week. Think I should change my setup or what.

With a tank that size your bio load is very light. I run a remora on my 43 and I have 4 fish and still cannot produce much skimmate which is fine because my water parameters are great. I wouldnt worry about it just yet. Just let it run. Do you put your hands in the tank alot? Oil off your hands tend to really shut down skimmer performance for hours. I know mine will take up to 12 hours before it starts producing foam again after I put my hands in.
