Lighting for corner tank

I am in the planning stages right now for a new tank. This will be my first SW tank so i have been reading for over a year now and have finally decided to take the plunge. Right now I have yet to make up my mind (well, convince my wife) whether I should get the 50 gallon or 70 gallon corner pentagon tank (I definately want the 70!). I plan on building a custom hood, but I have read so much on lighting I am once again confused. I was thinking 2 250W MH mounted parallel to the walls and a couple of PC's for supplemental lighting (actinic or such) between them. Any comments? TIA.

2 x 250W halides would definitely be plenty. For either of these tanks, though, a single 400W would probably be sufficient as well (IIRC, the 70 gallon is only 30x24x24). Either way, you will have yourself a winning lighting system
