Depending on your tank size, it may or may not be to your liking. My sense is that in the long run you won't be satisfied with it's performance, although you'd need to compare it to a better unit to see the difference. It's a low end skimmer, difficult to adjust by many accounts and noisy compared to other skimmers. What size tank will you be using it on?

The tank is a 30 long. I have two compact fluorescents yeilding 220 wats. As far as bioload, I dont plant to have more than three fish in the tank.

I have the delux one on my 75G in my sump and it works great! I don't hear it and I hardly have to adjust it, but I have also herd of people having problems so it could go eather way. I plan on upgrading in the spring anyway.

I used to have a prizm in my 30. Thought it was doing a good job, until I installed a bakpak on the same tank. The bakpak blew away the prizm (judging by the contents and volume in both collection cups.)

These skimmers claim to be rated for larger systems.. but I would not use them in a tank larger than 30 gallons. If you have a tank that is 30 gallons or smaller, I imagine you will be pleased with its performance. If not, do return this piece of hardware and look into saving a little more money and purchasing a better quality skimmer.
