MHs for my 90 gallon?

I'm still trying to decide on the lighting for my 90 gallon tank. My wife would like to keep the possibility of clams open so I am now looking at MHs. I really do not want the expense of a chiller right now. The top of my canopy sits 9.5" to 10" from the top of the water on my tank I have a canopy that is completely closed except at the back. If I get some fans drawing the heat out of the canopy will I be able to run 2x 175 watt MHs or 2x 250 watt MHs. Also, will this be enough light for a Maxima?

I think 250 watt 10,000k would do nicely. I like to hang MH fixtures above the tank. It will keep the tank a whole lot cooler. You can put fans in the canopy, but hanging your lights above the tank works better in my experence.

I was looking at a retro at hellolights.com using a universal ballast and XM bulbs. While searching today I found this at aquabid.com for about $75 less. http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/ ... 1073559903
