Righty - so if i just set up a 125 reef last wednesday with uncurred LR then i need to expect to do a 50% water change at one time early this week? Then what after that? 25%-30% for two weeks and then let the tank cycle?

Not necessarily. insearch has a different situaltion - he has cycled rock with animals that have been moved to a new tank. The toxins are going to continue to build up, and with no skimmer, they need to be removed so the corals and animals on the rock don't die off.
With your system, you don't need to do a water change - if it doesn't smell too bad, because you are waiting for the bacteria to cycle. I would guess though, at some point you may want to change a bunch of water because it gets nasty.

Well Here It Is. My project, my dream, my dream, and my bank account. Can someone help me identify the coral in the pics? I think it is a finger coral but the pics I have seen are differnt, more like branches instead of a cup with fingers. Anyway tell me what you think and oppinions.

This coral is getting darker by the day. Could that be just the lack of quality light?

Thanks
