I have a newly set up 65 (UK) gal reef aquarium. At the moment it contains nothing but water, 40kg of live rock and a few hermit crabs.

I am having problems with my pH and don't know what I need to do to sort it out.

My water parameters ar as follows
SG = 1.023
Temp = 78F
ph = 7.4 - 7.6
dKH = 4
Calcium = >600 (test kit only reads to 600)
All tests are using Salifert Profi Test kits

My LFS has no idea what I need to do to correct this, can anyone help please.

What kind of salt did you use? A freshly setup tank like that should not have to use any buffer unless the salt is exposed to air for a while (in clumps)... but there are some exceptions.
