Hey all just was wondering about getting a sea Anemone, but dont quite understand some facts about them.
I've done my research about lighting, food, waterflow / condition etc... What I dont understand about it is it's movement. i know that it can "move" about the tank but not sure HOW they do it? It doesn't seem that they have the ability to mobilize them selfs, but they will allow water current to take them to another location with better condition?
So, in short, all they can do is decide to attach or not attach, but movement bacisally is up to the current right?

Am I understanding this correctly? Please help me understand, 8O

Thx!

Insider, Welcome to reefs.org

They use their foot to move around the tank. They usually wont move inless they are not happy with the current, lighting, and rockwork where they are.

Almost. Current does take them, but they can move around on their 'foot' kinda like a snail.
