Ok here is the deal, I bought 2 new 250W 10k bulbs http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 2378008185 and one of the started to give a yellow tint after a week or so of use and the guy told me it was from improper burn it. Now to be honest I didn't know anything about burn in but I did have them on for 6 hours the first day then 10-12 from then on. Is there something wrong with this bulb or is this normal? what should I do?

thanks
Ray

It's not improper burn-in. It's just the way the bulb was manufactuered. It's common when you buy two bulbs of the same type for one to be slightly different in color. Sometimes, the difference is more drastic. I once had two Ushio 10KK with one crisp blue white and the other a greenish color. The good news is after a month or so, they begin to look the same. It's just the luck of the draw, i guess. Bulb colors aren't manufacturered to any strict tolerances :?
