RO/DI : AirwaterIce vs. FilterDirect

Which one of these is better? The Airwater Ice only has 75gpd and is more pricey. They are not name brands -- I rather invest in like Kent or Pinnacle i guess...I just want to hear what everyone has to say first before making my decision

I've had my DirectFilter 110 for a little over 6 months now and love it. Top notch construction, great filtering. I also got the 4 gallon storage tank...can't beat it for the price, IME/IMHO.

Replacement cartridges are very reasonable as well + their tech support is great for answering questions about installation, etc.

Just my $.02.

I have a Kent Hi-S. It's very well built. I also have a Captive Purity RO/DI and it's well built as well. If it's the same TFC membrane and media (DI resin), it really comes down to build quality as they'll both do a great job at filtering the water.

I have an AWI Typhoon III. I got it with the 100gpd membrane and it takes my water from 400-500 tds to 0-1. It is very well constructed and I like that it has clear filter housings. And the service was great when UPS dropped the unit off at the wrong house.

I have the Typhoon III and it is amazing. I used to live in a place where the water was messed up pretty bad for some reason, 1200+ TDS reading but the Typhoon III was able to bring it down to zero TDS.

Water is also a great person to deal with and will do anything he can to help you out if you ever need it.
