the problem is that glass tanks don't ship well. what you'll have to do is browse the manufacturer websites for the style you like, then see if they have a vendor/retailer in your area. the two favored manufacturers are all glass ( http://www.all-glass.com ) and Oceanic Systems ( http://www.oceanicsystems.com/ ) ...

(my current predicament is that one makes the 54corner i want predrilled - reef ready - but does not include a fancy cap to house a MH light. the other mfr DOES make a fancy cap but the tank is not reef ready ... sigh!!!)

Anyhow if you see a shape or size you like see if you can find the website's "retailer listing" page ... see if they have a shop in your area, etc ... i was talking to my LFS and they can even work with oceanic / aga to make custom caps and tanks ... i may do that...

good luck!

LOL!!! I guess its back to the 'ol drawing board!! LOL!

I do have the tank.. (FW Setup right now) But got bit by the saltwater bug again, and thought I would convert it. The more I look, the more I think your right. forget about the hex, and go with something a little more standard!

Better now than later. You would grow to hate the hex. How large an area do you have for a tank. What is your budget? Wecome to RC.....no! sorry I met Reefs.org Come to the Sump amd have drink with us.

I have a whole wall, that my wife has donated to the new project! budget I told her it was going to be around $1500.00 for setup/startup, so I'm thinking about going with a 75 gallon FOWLR system for now, let that mature, then move into a reef system down the road.

Feel like I have went through a time machine with all the advances they have made since the last time I played with saltwater! Wow! study, study, study! 8O

Hey! Why delay? Go reefy right away. I know what you'll say. It'll be, "yay!"

I'm going to hold off on the lights for the reef system for right now, still need to study this for a while. But my kids are still after me, to buy "NEMO" LOL!! So.... Start slowly, and work my way up!

I do think I found the right place to get all the information (and more!) What a great forum!
