I have what was 1 colony of pink xenia, now it is 2,It spread to the rock next to it.I read that this coral does spread this way.My question is that it seems like 1 of the stalks that was "in the mddle" of the colony of about 8 stalks deteroirated and started to disenegrate as the other stalks were making there transition to thew new rock.I want to know if the one died because of over crowding? The rest of "both colonys are thriving like weeds! REALLY!Any body know what happened?? :?
PS-I took a sterlile razor blade and cut off the remainder of the dead stalk and cut the fine strands tht were all but seperated completly to the new rock(a very very small strand) and moved the "new" colony away from the original mother colony.Today its like nothing ever happened it is completly out and fine?? 8O
