How much output do you get using the Typhoon III Five stage 75gpd model? I want to invest in something worth the money. It'll cost me near 250 bucks. Thanks

I mean i want to invest in kent or spectrapure. But some tell me not to invest in something so pricey, but I have 150 gallon tank, so i would want at least 120 gallons in one day. I hear filterdirect only outputs like 44 gpd rather than the 110 gpd it advertises.

Please help! Does anyone actually the right gallons per day ratio as advertised in these units? I know it depends on the pressure but I'd like to hear opinions before making this pricey investment.

For me, I get about 60% of rated gpd. It's impossible to say what your unit will do in your situation; the gpd will depend largely on source water purity, water pressure (as you know), and age of the membrane. These variables aside and assuming you're using the same TFC membrane, the output between one brand to the next should be about the same. For me, it's always about 60%.

I recommend you get a 200+ gpd if you want 120gpd. Personally, for a 150 gallon tank, I think half that is plenty.
