Looks like a white cottony slime by their foot?
Shromm a bit shrivled?

Its gonna jump!

There are many threads on reattaching shrooms on this sight, or just let it go it may reaattch itself as long as it doesn'y get lost in the rockwork.

Oh yea,

From what I can tell, I believe its poop. Nothing more, nothing less. Mine do it on a relatively routine basis, seem unnaffected. They're about 1 year in tank now.

Most mushrooms can expell their mesinterial filiments (I spelled that wrong, but it just means their guts) in response to being bumped or moved or just anything in general they don't like. These filaments like like thin white lace.

They will pull them back inside in a little while.

I feel LauraD's explaination is more probable. I just did some very bad thing to a 'shroom, and it also spit out some stringy stuffs.

BTW, no harm was done in my "experiment" ;)
