What do you guys use for your water changes.

I mean to make it "easy". What do you put your water so you can put it the same as the water in you tank?

Looking for a little advise!

Thanks,

Marc

Not sure exactly what the question is, but I make sure it is the same specific gravity and roughly the same temperature. That's it!

Not understanding the syntax of the question, I think I understand the gist of it. It really depended (cuz I no longer perform w/c's) on whether it was my own tank or a customer's. Once I got to using it, I always used RealOceanTM, so no worries about anything other than matching temperature.

Before that I had two trash cans (the 33g ones) that I lined with black plastic trash bags (just plain old bags, no scent or anything like that - bad juju). Those had a powerhead dropped in 'em and were kept tightly covered in the garage. A day before I wanted to do a w/c, I'd put one of my submersible heaters into its handy-dandy PVC tube (otherwise it could melt the plastic) to bring it up to temperature. Then, I'd take a powerhead and pump some of the water into my 5g jugs (I bought some from Sparklett's, WITH the caps, they were great for using with customers) and do whatever change I wanted to.

To make it really easy, if you're not cheap like me, then buy a pump to do the changes (external pump would be the preference).

Does this answer your question?

Yes it does answer my question... Sorry about not being specific enough in my question :(

I'll be better next time...

But thanks for your reply!
