I hope someone can answer this...is it possible for a snowflake eel to get itself stuck in LR. Our eel has disappeared and we can't find him...I hope he's not stuck. I would think that if they can get in there they can get out. Please respond ASAP.
I had a snowflake eel many years ago and never knew him to get stuck in the live rock. However they tend to like to "travel" so depending on your set up you may want to check the overflow and the sump/refugium/filter area to make sure he didn't move to another "room" in your system.
yes...we finally found him last night...he had found a new rock to hide in and it was in the back of the tank. Usually he sticks his head out and he didn't have his head out until we put food in the tank. Sorry about that...we just hadn't seen him all day long. We checked the outside of the tank to make sure he didn't get out because we were told they were escape artists. But we found him.
