I hope someone can answer this...is it possible for a snowflake eel to get itself stuck in LR. Our eel has disappeared and we can't find him...I hope he's not stuck. I would think that if they can get in there they can get out. Please respond ASAP.
Very unlikely unless there was an avalanche while the eel was moving through. How big is your tank and how hard have you looked? Eels can get through the smallest holes, if their head can fit, that's all they need to get through.
I would look all around on the floor and underneath anything he could have crawled under. I lost a large snowflake to carpet surfing about a year ago. That sucked!
My snowflake just chills in his little hole. He will poke his head out from time to time and comes out completley at night. But, for the first week he barely came out at all. Just be patient he's a shy little dude.
Found him....he found a new rock to hide in...in the back on the tank. So we didn't see him until it was time to eat. Then he came out...I was scared to death that he got out. But I found him.
