can anyone suggest any good books dealing with reefs and fish selections? There are many books out there but you never know what you are going to get. Any help would be appreciated, thanx
If your gunning for knowledge on fish that are compatible with corals and other inverts a book that I got is for you. It is named "A PocketExpert Guide...MARINE FISHES" by Scott W. Michael. It was published by Microcosm Ltd. out of Charlotte, VT. It is a small paperback book about 450 pages long. The cover is White in color with a picture of a beautiful Emporer Angel on it. Hopefully that was enough information for you to find it by.
The book is indepth about over 500 aquarium specific fishes and has several areas of knowledge covered on each fish including Reef Aquarium Compatibility. If you get the chance buy this book, its well worth the money.
thanks, i went out and picked it up. it seems to be pretty informative. is there any books out there of the same format as this but for corals and invets?
I picked up two books off the book list here. Natural reef aquariums which I built my aquarium on and Dynamic aquaria. The latter is a hard read for my small pea brain and is more than you ever wanted to know about this subject. It is also $61 so save your penniies. Dynamic aqauria is where the ATS info is. ( algae turf scrubber) Good luck.
