when to add janitors and devoirters kit

Hello I have been into sw for 1 yr now with 55 gal tank with 4 damels only, and just changed my cc to dsb...I haved started the seeding with cc from tank previously in a nylon stocking .One stocking on bottom and the other in my bio wheel filter...So I work very slow. But I wanted to learn when to add what to my tank in the future.Should I add the devoitres kit first after the seedng of the tank and the levels are stable.I heard that if I had the janitors first( after I have some cleanup) then the janitors will eat my critters in the sand bottom.So I was wanting to know the orderin which to add these creatures.

I recommend adding the detriovore kit first, then the clean up janitors when algae starts to become a problem. Add both only after your tank is fully cycled; inverts can actually be less tolerant of toxic water conditions then fish.
