I have a purple tip haitian anenome for 10 months,he took a good footing and has always eaten for me and grew quite a bit over the course of time. However I recently did a new rockscape job in the tank and ever since then he has been on the move and not eating and really looking stressed out like not expanding and some loss of color he still is out and about but what can i do to get the poor guy to settle in to a new spot and take hold?is ther any suggestions?I read that most times people cant seem to keep this type anenome alive in an aquarium for more than a year,we really like him he was one of the first occupants in the tank and my 11 year old son is really wooried about him,any input??

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do except wait for him to find his own spot. I think the aquascaping kicked up some nutrients into the water column that the anemone is reacting to, but that should settle down over time. Good luck!

Another possibility is that, due to the new landscaping, the water currents changed to his dislike, and he's looking for a good spot. I think Len's answer is likely, though.
